Hello again I’m back from camp, I had a Blast!!!!  It was so fun.  I got to  rock climb. Also at camp we had a camp fire, it was in a barn though.  The reasn why it was in a barn is because, it was storming  but we still had a great time .

There was a lot more things that we did but, I think it would take a really long time to write all of it down. But one thing at camp that I did do was have FUN!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂

They said that we will be swimming ( maybe), and going through Fat Man Squeeze. Also they said that we will be staying up till at least 11:00. (Yeah Baby) 🙂   The 6th grade is going next week…how awesome!! I am so excited!

There is a lot more other things we do in Camp but I don’t know what all we are going to do. So when ever I get back from Camp I will get on and tell you what all we did.  See YA!! 🙂

D.A.R.E. Essay May 20, 2010

Filed under: Uncategorized — Heather @ 5:23 pm

The year is almost over, along with D.A.R.E. So now we are going to have a D.A.R.E graduation. I have learned a lot with D.A.R.E and I would like to share that with you, but first I am going to tell you what D.A.R.E is about.

D.A.R.E is about kids and adults that do drugs or smoke. D.A.R.E also tells us how bad drugs and smoking really is, and what kind of pressure kids and maybe even adults get put under to do drug’s or smoke. But usually the kids get put under more pressure to do drugs and smoke. D.A.R.E tells us how addicting drug’s and cigarette’s are. But one really good thing that D.A.R.E taught us was how to say no to drugs and smoking!

I know I have already told you somethings I have learned in D.A.R.E, but now I am going to tell you what D.A.R.E stands for, which is Drug Abuse Resistance Education, but  most people know it as D.A.R.E. There is also another meaning for D.A.R.E, and that is the Decision Making Model. The Decision Making Model stands for, Define Assess Respond and Evaluate. The decision making model is good for getting through school and maybe even life. So my advice to you is use the Decision Making Model and see how far you can get. The advice I just gave to you isn’t just for you, I’m going to use it too. I am going to use it to achieve all my goals and future plans in my life.

So I Heather pledge to be drug, alcohol and tobacco free. I pledge to make wise decisions through my life and, never make bad decisions even if I get put under a lot of pressure. I will try to do my best to achieve my goals and never let my friends, family or even my teachers down. So again I Heather pledge to be drug, alcohol and tobacco free.

Do You Have Control Over Your Destiny? April 19, 2010

Filed under: Uncategorized — Heather @ 6:46 pm

I think I have control over my destiny, (most of the time.) I try my best for myself, like to achieve goals, and other things that I want. But sometimes I think I would go crazy, or do something I shouldn’t do, if I didn’t have someone by my side. The people who help me control my destiny, when I need them anyways,
is my parents. I can control a really big part of my destiny but, if I didn’t have them when I need them, I don’t know what I would do. I think that right now in life, I am going to need my parents to help me through out my destiny, but later in life I will be on my own.

Define Normal written by Julie Anne Peters is a realistic fictional story that leaves many questions in the mind of the reader.  I discuss a few of these in this book talk for The Reading Workshop.

My Potential April 13, 2010

Filed under: Uncategorized — Heather @ 6:27 pm

Wow. If I had to say what I think my potential would say on the potentialmeter,to tell you the truth, I think it would say 45.  The reason why I think that is because, I know I’m not trying my hardest, and I know I can do better.

After watching that video, I know I can do better than what I am doing now. At the beginning of the school year I wasn’t trying my hardest, at all, in fact I think I have learned my lesson.

I know I can do a lot to do better. What I can do is, push my self and don’t stop, try my hardest, and set a goal for myself. So I am gonna always do my best in school and in life to reach my goal. The goal I will set for myself is get a 100 on the potentialmeter.

Who Should Be Appreciated,You Should Be Appreciated !!!!! March 26, 2010

After watching that video it made me think, there is a lot of people that should be appreciated at our school. There is not just one person there is more, but I saw someone today and I think they should be appreciated. They should be added to the list.

The person I think should be added is a girl named Cierra. While we were getting off the bus this morning, everybody was passing by this little girl named Annabelle.(aka my sister.) They weren’t letting Annabelle off, so knowing that when I got to her seat I was gonna let her out. When I looked in front of me Cierra had stopped everyone from going and let Annabelle out of her seat so she could get to class.

So if you have ever seen anyone do anything nice or help someone else, join in, and you will be added to the list too.
